As OrthoMind is a place where orthopaedic surgeons can feel comfortable sharing their personal thoughts and ideas in a safe, secure environment, we wanted to make sure all of our members are okay with disclosure. Several members expressed the desire to remain anonymous within the site, but of course are all confirmed ortho surgeons. We call it anonymity with accountability. That means that they chose usernames like 'orthodoc23' instead of 'drjohnadams'. Similarly, some of the members of the OrthoMind Advisory team, who created OrthoMind, (all members are licensed US practicing Orthopaedic Surgeons) wanted to preserve their anonymity. OrthoMind was financed personally by individual orthopaedic surgeons. The project/site was conceived, developed and enhanced by a collaboration of Orthopaedic Surgeons who are in solo and academic practices and are alumni or faculty of the Orthopaedic Programs at the Hospital for Special Surgery, Johns Hopkins, Harvard, Steadman-Hawkins Clinic, Mayo Clinic and UCLA. Since it's inception, OrthoMind has been a collective effort of like minded people who are just like you in many ways. We welcome your participation and invite you to formally join us. As some members have asked, there are no trial attorneys, pharmaceutical execs, angel investors etc on the OrthoMind Team. We are all practicing orthopaedic surgeons.

The Strength of our community is realized as we all contribute to the content of this site. We are always open for feedback or critique. This network is only going to grow stronger and more powerful over time. As we grow, our ability to extract useful data, trends, and insights for our members will improve.

"Lurking" means you just sift through and read others' comments and posts and watch from the background. While informative, that weakens the power of our collective strength. Speak your mind and contribute. We will all benefit.

OrthoMind is not an industry sponsored site. It was literally created de novo by Orthopaedic Surgeons for Orthopaedic Surgeons. We are not web developers, we are practicing orthopaedists, like you.
